The women behind the Shakti Mat

Our Shakti mats are manufactured in Varanasi, the holy city of India. The temple factory, in which the mats are produced, was built according to Vastu Shastra, the origin of Feng shui, in order to fill the temple with harmony. All employees are women – yoginis.

The women employed in our factory work under good conditions. They get a good salary and have decent working hours. A cook and a doctor take care of their culinary and physical well-being. If the women get sick, they receive sick pay. We do not only provide our employees and their families with free health care but also other families in the neighbourhood.

It is our aim to create harmony for everybody who comes in contact with the Shakti mat - from the manufacturer to the consumer.
