Indian roots
The bed of nails, which has been known for thousands of years, has its roots in Indian mysticism. Yogis – people practicing yoga – use the bed of nails to free their body from physical, emotional and mental blockages and to harmonise body and soul.
Healing powers
The healing powers of nails and beds of nails have been known and reported about for thousands of years. The oldest reports, dating back 4000 years, are from India and China, where the mat is not only used to cure certain conditions but to deepen people’s experiences while meditating and practicing yoga.
Rediscovered in Russia
In the 1980s the bed of nails was rediscovered by Russians and effectively used in health care. Russian scientists carried out a great number of studies in various hospitals and came to the conclusion that the bed of nails decreases inflammation, strengthens the immune system, activates the body’s metabolism and reduces feelings of mental overload and stress.
In the course of these studies the following changes have been reported:
- 98% Alleviation of pain
- 96% Relaxation
- 94% Improvement of sleep quality
- 81% Increase in energy
About half of the subjects with allergies reported an improvement of their symptoms. In addition, people undergo changes of psychological nature. Depression as well as aggressiveness fade away, empathy increases and people experience feelings of joy and happiness.
